On March 1, 2023, anarchists carried out a direct action of solidarity with Alfredo Cospito in front of the Italian consulate in Porto Alegre. In Belo Horizonte, a similar action took place on February 17. Cospito has been on hunger strike for more than 130 days against the cruel prison regime 41bis, which imposes total isolation of the prisoner, preventing any kind of physical contact, the restriction of books and magazines, and the censorship of letters, among others.
Cospito has had his last appeal denied and has already declared that he will go to the last consequences of his hunger strike.
