On April 21, 2021, pro-Bolsonaro protesters held a demonstration against the Federal Supreme Court (STF) and communism at Moinhos de Vento Park, in one of Porto Alegre’s most expensive neighborhoods. There, a “hangman” dressed in clothing very similar to that worn by the white supremacist organization the Ku Klux Klan shouted slogans in front of bodies hanging from a tree.
In response, the Black Movement organized a protest that took to the neighborhood’s streets against racism, fascism, and Bolsonaro.
