When we take a look at the knowledge and practices of the originary peoples, we have the basis for community living and for the strengthening of our collectives.
What we now call “Mutirão”, in Portuguese, has its origin in the so-called “puxirum” or “moitará” by different native peoples. It is the idea of getting together, of mutual support through community or family organization in each region. Mutirão is not restricted to accomplishing a task. It is also a way to have fun and transmit knowledge, strengthening communities.
